Pearl City is located along the north shore of Pearl Harbor. ʻAiea borders Pearl City to the east, while Waipahu borders the west. The U.S. postal code for Pearl City is 96782.

The racial makeup of the CDP was 59.57% Asian-Pacific Islander, 17.24% White, 2.71% African American, 0.27% Native American, 1.41% from other races, and 18.81% from two or more races. 7.30% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
